Netanyahu hoping to meet Trump after G7 — report

Amid growing disagreement over a US deal with Iran, and IDF freedom of action in Lebanon, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pushing for a meeting with US President Donald Trump after the G7 summit this week, CNN reports.

Trump will be back in Washington after the three-day summit in France ends on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister’s Office did not respond to requests for comment.

Netanyahu and Trump met approximately every two months in the president’s first year back in office, but have not met in person since the start of the US-Israel campaign against Iran in February.
