The Wall Street Journal publishes new details of alleged Israeli government efforts to stem growing anti-Israel sentiment in the US through media companies and influencers.
Last week, Time magazine reported that Brad Parscale, whom it described as “Trump’s former presidential campaign manager and digital guru,” and his company, Clock Tower X, were tapped in September 2025 by an ad agency to conduct an influence campaign in the US on behalf of Israel.
The $45 million contract includes millions of AI texts sent to US cellphones by a group called Friends for Peace, according to the WSJ, which adds that Israel retained six firms over the past year, and that around three dozen Americans have registered as new foreign agents for Israel.
The AI texts are produced by Sparkfire, according to the report, which has been paid at least $6.5 million.
Parscale is expected to ensure “integration of narrative messaging into Salem Media Network properties and aligned distribution channels.” Parscale is a senior executive at the network.
He pitched his company to Israeli officials in late 2024, according to the report.
Salem Media and Parscale both tell the WSJ that the money does not go toward telling hosts what to say, but rather toward ads on the network.
Parscale is also creating websites and posts with pro-Israel messages, so that AI platforms will produce a more positive picture of the country.
Another organization, Show Faith by Works, is focusing on Christian college students and worshipers at megachurches. The $3 million campaign is designed to create “positive associations with the Nation of Israel while linking the Palestinian population with extremist factions.”
