Opposition heads, including Bennett and Gantz, to meet on October 8

The leaders of the so-called “change bloc” will convene on October 8, following an initial meeting last Saturday, they announce.

The bloc comprises right-wing, centrist and left-wing parties that seek to provide an alternative to the current, hard-right Netanyahu-led coalition.

This time, former prime minister Naftali Bennett — who has formed a new party provisionally called Bennett 2026 — and Blue and White-National Unity chief Benny Gantz will attend.

Both were absent from the earlier meeting, with Bennett missing the sit-down in order to mark the 10th anniversary of his father’s death.

The meeting will also be attended by Yisrael Beytenu party chairman Avigdor Liberman, “Yashar! With Eisenkot” chief Gadi Eisenkot, and The Democrats head Yair Golan, all of whom were present at the first meeting.
