Regional country blocked Israel from using its airspace during recent Iran strikes, despite past cooperation — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA country in the region barred Israel from using its airspace during its strikes on Iran earlier this week, despite having granted it access during previous rounds of fighting, the Kan public broadcaster reports.
The decision caught Israel off guard, the report says, as Jerusalem had expected cooperation between the two countries, as had been the case in the past.
According to the report, Israel believes the decision to close the airspace was intended to serve as a diplomatic message.
