Sa’ar says Israel ‘committed’ to Trump’s Gaza plan but Hamas must disarm

Israel is “committed to the Trump plan” and to regional stability, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar tells his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi in Jerusalem, referring to the US president’s 20-point plan for Gaza.
“In order to proceed with its implementation,” Sa’ar continues, “Hamas must disarm and Gaza must be demilitarized.” Both of those are conditions of the plan.
He also says that the Palestinian Authority “must end its policy of ‘pay for slay,'” referring to stipends given to terrorists and their families. “It must stop its incitement and its diplomatic war against Israel in international forums and international courts.”
The PA has said that it has reformed the payment system.
