Southern Command general suspends senior officer for ‘abuse of power’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe head of the Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Eyal Zamir suspends a male battalion commander and female subordinate officer for conducting unbecoming and abuse of power, in light of a Military Police investigation.
The two suspended officers — a lieutenant colonel and captain, respectively — are believed to have had an inappropriate relationship.
Though the investigation is ongoing, there was enough evidence and suspicion to warrant the disciplinary measure.
