Trump: Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain ‘no big deal’; ‘I don’t need Bibi to tell me’ about it; he brings it up to keep me involved

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is going to bring up Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain during their meeting today because “he wants me to stay involved,” says US President Donald Trump.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump stresses that “I don’t need Bibi to tell me” things related to intelligence on the Iranian nuclear site. “We know exactly what’s going on.”

The US president also expresses some frustration that Netanyahu ostensibly mentions Iranian construction at the site publicly: “I heard Bibi announce that. I said, Why didn’t you just tell it to me? Why’d you have to announce it to the world? I know exactly what’s going on.”

“It’s not a big problem,” Trump continues. “We took out their nuclear sites, and we’ll have to take out Pickaxe if we don’t make a deal.”

While Trump claimed Netanyahu “announced” intelligence indicating Iranian activity at Pickaxe, the prime minister has not spoken about the nuclear site publicly.

Some of the reports on purported Iranian activity at the site have, however, been attributed to unnamed Israeli officials.

Trump again says that he “could take out most of [Iran’s] bridges in less than an hour” and all their power plants within a day.

Trump also reiterates his claim that he saved Israel by stopping Iran’s nuclear program: “If I weren’t president today, Israel would not exist.”
