The IDF arrested a Palestinian man Sunday night on suspicion that he fired a gun in the direction of a security post at the entrance to Kibbutz Migdal Oz, in the West Bank. No one was injured in the incident.

The security guard on duty alerted authorities that he had heard gunshots in the vicinity and an army patrol was dispatched to the area.

The soldiers identified “a suspicious Palestinian male fleeing from the scene,” according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit. The man was detained and admitted to firing at the kibbutz, after which he was arrested.

A firearm, which authorities believe was used by the suspect, was discovered nearby.
