Bennett said to convene ministerial forum for unspecified security assessment

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett convened a ministerial committee known as the “quintet” earlier today, inviting four ministers for a security assessment, the Walla news site reports.

Bennett reportedly held the discussion with Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman, and Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar. The report noted that other party leaders such as Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz were not invited.

The report does not provide details on the topic of the meeting, but says it is not clear whether this is the first time the forum has convened.
