The high-level coronavirus cabinet will convene tomorrow afternoon to discuss additional measures to stem a continued rise in coronavirus cases, after some renewed restrictions took effect at midnight.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office says ministers will discuss a plan “that will provide an answer to the outbreak of the Delta variant in Israel that includes a proposed Green Pass and a proposal for the issue of entering and exiting the country.”

The statement says also that the meetings will come after a week in which the ministers held an “in-depth study” of the current coronavirus figures and spoke with experts in Israel and the world.
