Court extends detention for rabbi accused of sexual assault
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleJerusalem Magistrate’s Court approves an eight-day remand extension for a rabbi accused of sexually assaulting women in his flock, Army Radio says.
Rabbi Eliezer Berland, 79, was extradited from South Africa last month and arrested upon his arrival in Israel. He is accused of several counts of sexual assault, including that of a teenage girl.
He denies the allegations against him.
