French President Emmanuel Macron appears set for a second presidential term.

One election exit poll shows him winning the second round of the presidential race with 58.2 percent of the vote. His rival, the far-right’s Marine Le Pen, is projected to win 41.8%.

A second poll shows Macron with 57.6% to Le Pen’s 42.4%.

The incumbent would become the first French president in 20 years to win another five years in office.
