The Israel Defense Forces believes the suspected car-ramming reported by troops in Huwara earlier was likely an accident.
The Palestinian driver of the car with Israeli license plates hit an IDF soldier operating in the area.
Troops opened fire at the vehicle and the driver crashed.
He is treated at the scene by military medics and taken to a hospital.
