The Israeli Air Force struck and killed several Palestinians, who the IDF identifies as terror operatives, after they crossed the Gaza ceasefire line in the Strip’s north earlier today.

According to the IDF, the operatives crossed the Yellow Line and approached reservists of the 205th “Iron Fist” Reserve Armored Brigade, “in a manner that posed an immediate threat.”

Following their identification, the military says the ground troops directed an airstrike, which “eliminated some of the terrorists in order to remove the threat.”

Palestinian media reported earlier that two people were killed east of Gaza City, and their bodies were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital.

Since the start of the ceasefire in October, the IDF has said it has killed dozens of terror operatives and other “suspects” who have crossed the Yellow Line — demarcating the military’s withdrawal in the Strip — and approached troops. Such incidents have taken place on a near-daily basis.

Earlier, the IDF said troops killed a Palestinian they identified as a terrorist who crossed the ceasefire line in the Strip’s south.
