Israel assessing if conditions right for ceasefire — military source
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael is assessing whether conditions are right to halt its military campaign against Palestinian terrorists in Gaza but is preparing for “more days” of airstrikes if necessary, an Israeli military source says.
“We are looking at when is the right moment for a ceasefire,” says the source on condition of anonymity.
The source adds that Israel is evaluating whether its objective of degrading the capabilities of Gaza’s Hamas rulers has been achieved and “whether Hamas understands the message” that its rocket barrages toward Israel cannot recur.
