As exchanges of fire continue to intensify between terror groups in Lebanon and Israeli forces, an Israeli government spokesperson says that Israel is still trying to avoid opening a northern front in its ongoing war.

“Israel’s position remains unchanged. Israel is not interested in a war on two fronts. Our primary objective remains the defeat and dismantling of Hamas,” Eylon Levy answers The Times of Israel.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would make Hezbollah rue the day it entered the fighting, should it intensify.
