US Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon says Israel had been patient with diplomatic efforts to end Iran’s nuclear program despite mounting risks, in an address to the UN Security Council.

“We waited for diplomacy to work … We watched negotiations stretch on, as Iran made false concessions or refused the most fundamental conditions,” Danon tells the Security Council. He says intelligence had confirmed Iran could have produced enough fissile material for multiple bombs within days.
