Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Russia has “deep concerns” about the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza.
Asked during a press briefing about the Kremlin’s reaction to the news of Sinwar’s death, Peskov says that the main concern is “the consequences for the civilian population that we are seeing.”
He chooses not to elaborate, and avoids further mention of Sinwar, instead saying that “the humanitarian catastrophe that is being observed in both Gaza and Lebanon is a subject of serious concern.”
