The Meretz party files a petition to the Central Elections Committee to ban former MK Idit Silman from running in the upcoming election.

The party charges that Silman — who was elected as a Yamina MK and is now running with Likud — is guilty of “political corruption” for brokering a deal to get a reserved spot with Likud in exchange for bringing down the coalition, which is illegal.
