Netanyahu: Trump and I agree completely that Iran cannot have nukes; as long as I’m PM, it won’t

As US President Donald Trump expresses optimism about an impending US-Iran deal, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues his attempts to portray a potential agreement as an achievement for Israel, or at least limit the political damage of an agreement that doesn’t address most Israeli concerns.
“As long as I am prime minister of Israel, Iran will not have nuclear weapons,” he pledges in a statement released by his office.
“There is complete agreement between President Trump and me on this issue,” Netanyahu continues.
Netanyahu says that he has led the international fight against Iran’s nuclear programs for over three decades.
“Without this struggle, Iran would have long ago obtained nuclear bombs to destroy Israel,” he continues.
“Iran is working to destroy the Jewish state, and I have dedicated my life to preventing them from doing so,” Netanyahu concludes. “As long as I am Israel’s prime minister, that will not happen.”
