Netanyahu’s office said he spoke to Germany’s Merz about ‘regional matters’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held “a good and friendly conversation” over the phone with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz this evening, during which the two discussed “diplomatic and regional matters,” the Prime Minister’s Office says in a statement.
There is no immediate German readout of the call.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul visited Israel and other regional countries earlier this month as Berlin continues to express its support for the implementation of the US plan to end the Gaza war.
