Netherlands says Russian spy prevented from accessing ICC

The Dutch intelligence service says it has stopped a Russian spy posing as an intern from accessing the International Criminal Court, which is investigating war crimes in Ukraine.

“The AIVD prevented a Russian intelligence officer from gaining access as an intern to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague,” the AIVD (General Intelligence and Security Service) says in a statement, adding that he works for Russia’s GRU military intelligence and has been using a Brazilian cover identity.
