Overnight strikes said to be heaviest yet

Israeli airstrikes overnight constituted the heaviest sorties since fighting began last week, Reuters reports, citing Palestinians on the ground.
The report claims bombardments were most intense in Gaza City, where bombs struck areas near two hospitals.
Israel is thought to be readying for a ground invasion of the Strip.
