Unvaccinated baby in Jerusalem in critical condition after contracting measles

An 11-month-old baby girl with measles from a community near Jerusalem is in critical condition in the pediatric intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem, the hospital says.
After several days of being treated at home, she was brought to the hospital last night following a significant deterioration in her condition and is now on life support.
“I once again urge all parents to vaccinate their children against measles and to follow the Health Ministry’s guidelines to prevent severe and life-threatening illness,” says Dr. Uri Pollak, head of Hadassah’s pediatric cardiac critical care unit.
