US military shares details on CENTCOM chief’s Mideast trip

The American military publishes a statement on US Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper’s recent visit to the Middle East, during which he met with leaders in Israel and Lebanon.
In Lebanon, Cooper and his staff met with President Joseph Aoun and Lebanese army chief Gen. Rodolphe Haykal. “The leaders discussed the path forward in implementing a historic framework agreement signed in Washington, DC, on Friday,” CENTCOM says.
In Israel, Cooper met with “senior civilian and military leaders” — who are not named — and also visited American troops deployed to the country, according to CENTCOM.
Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed earlier that he met with Cooper.
