The exit of United Torah Judaism lawmakers from the coalition continues, as UTJ’s Yisrael Eichler submits his resignation as head of the Knesset Labor and Welfare Committee to Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.

Earlier today, Deputy Culture Minister Yaakov Tessler and Jerusalem Affairs Minister Meir Porush also submitted their letters of resignation, which will come into effect in 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the Ultra-Orthodox Shas party is reportedly waiting for their resignations to go into effect before deciding if to announce its own exit from the government later this week, which would lead Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu without a Knesset majority.
