IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir again says the military has created the conditions for a hostage deal with Hamas.

During a visit to the Haifa naval base, Zamir says the IDF has met the objectives of its “Gideon’s Chariots” operation against Hamas in Gaza, “and as a result of the military pressure we created the conditions for the release of the hostages.”

“The IDF continues to prepare itself to expand the operation with a focus on Gaza City, and the Navy must be ready to defend and assist the ground forces in attack. The campaign continues, and we will keep acting until achieving all the objectives of the war, strengthening security, and attaining victory,” he adds.
