Trump’s granddaughter Arabella Kushner sends handwritten notes to freed hostages
14-year-old daughter of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump reportedly writes notes to all 20 captives released last week; has previously taken part in grandfather’s diplomacy

US President Donald Trump’s granddaughter Arabella Kushner reportedly sent handwritten letters to all 20 hostages who were released from Gaza last week under the ceasefire deal advanced by her grandfather.
The notes were delivered by her father, Jared Kushner, who acted as a key broker of the agreement and was in Israel this week, the Kan public broadcaster reported.
Kushner, along with Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, met with a number of the freed captives Tuesday in Tel Aviv and delivered the letters.
A photo released by the US embassy showed Kushner and former hostage Nimrod Cohen holding an envelope addressed to him personally, “From Arabella.”
Trump’s son-in-law was likewise seen holding a stack of the notes in a photo with freed twins Gali and Ziv Berman.
A letter to Segev Kalfon read: “Your strength gives hope to so many people around the world. I admire your bravery and the light you bring to others! Thank you, Arabella Kushner.”

Arabella, 14, often features on the Instagram account of her mother, Ivanka Trump. This is not the first time she has taken part in the family’s international diplomatic affairs.
Eight years ago, when she was 6 and her grandfather was at the beginning of his first term, China’s official Xinhua News Agency reported that Trump played a video of Arabella reciting ancient Chinese poetry and verses from the Confucian text the “Three Character Classic” to Chinese President Xi Jinping after they met at the Forbidden City ancient palace complex in Beijing.
Xi responded that Arabella’s Chinese deserved an “A-plus.”
Earlier that year, a brief video clip of Arabella singing in Chinese circulated to strong approval on the internet in China. The clip posted by Ivanka showed then-5-year-old Arabella singing best wishes for the holiday while playing with a traditional Chinese puppet.
Ivanka and Arabella also made a surprise visit to the Chinese Embassy in Washington that February to participate in Chinese New Year festivities.
During Trump’s first term, Kushner and Ivanka Trump held positions as White House advisers. They do not have any official government roles during Trump’s current second term, though Kushner has been heavily involved in finalizing and now implementing the ceasefire in Gaza.
