A Saudi animation warning Iran of retaliation in the event of a military strike against the Saudi kingdom has gone viral after being shared on social media platforms, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, MEMRI.

The video depicts a Saudi aid ship in the “Arabian Gulf” which finds itself under attack by Iranian speedboats. Responding to the attack, a Saudi frigate destroys the incoming Iranian boats and in retaliation, the Saudi army strikes Iran by air, land, and sea.

The video culminates in a mass celebration in Azadi Square in Tehran, in which posters of the Saudi Crown Prince and Saudi flags are raised.

“To reach the Qibla of the Muslims is a main target for the Iranian regime. We will not wait until the fight is in Saudi Arabia. We will bring the fight to Iran,” declares the animated Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

KSA Animation Video: Saudi Forces Conquer Tehran in Retaliation for an Iranian Attack on a Saudi ShipA Saudi animation video posted on YouTube, Twitter, and other social media platforms warned Iran of the Saudi retaliation in the event of an Iranian military strike against the Saudi kingdom. The video, which is in English with Arabic subtitles, with versions subtitled in Farsi, Turkish, Spanish, Japanese, and Hebrew, begins with a quote by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud: "To reach the Qibla of the Muslims is a main target for the Iranian regime. We will not wait until the fight is in Saudi Arabia. We will bring the fight to Iran." Next, a Saudi aid ship in the "Arabian Gulf" finds itself under attack by Iranian speedboats. A Saudi frigate destroys the incoming Iranian boats. After another attack, this time by missiles, which are intercepted and destroyed by the Patriot radar system, the Saudi command moves for a retaliation attack, by air, land, and sea. Finally, Saudi ground forces storming an Iranian bunker and capturing General Soleimani, who is shivering in fear. The video culminates in a mass celebration in Azadi Square in Tehran, in which posters of the Saudi Crown Prince and Saudi flags are raised and during which Saudi planes drop leaflets reading "Peace be upon you. We are with you" upon the Iranian crowds. The video appears to be a response to one published by the Iranians in early 2017 (see here: https://www.memri.org/tv/iranian-animated-film-simulates-yemeni-missile-attacks-saudi-oil-fields-military-and-civilian), showing a "Yemeni" missile attack on Saudi Arabia. In the Iranian movie, missiles attacked the facilities of the Saudi Aramco oil company, whereas in the Saudi movie, it is Saudi "Eastern Winds" missiles that destroy the Iranian Bushehr nuclear plant. In the Iranian movie, posters of Prince Mohammed bin Slaman are shown on billboards of Jeddah, during the missile attacks. In the Saudi movie, similar posters appear at the celebration rally in Azadi Square.

Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic relations with Iran in January 2016 after Iranian demonstrators attacked Saudi diplomatic missions in response to the Saudi execution of a prominent Shiite dissident cleric.

The video appears to be a response to a clip published by the Iranians in early 2017 showing a “Yemeni” missile attack on Saudi Arabia, MEMRI said.

In the Iranian clip, missiles are fired at the facilities of the Saudi Aramco oil company. In the Saudi movie it is Saudi “Eastern Winds” missiles that destroy the Iranian Bushehr nuclear plant.

Likewise, the Iranian video includes posters of the crown prince on billboards in Jeddah with the Saudi movie depicting similar posters at the celebration rally in Azadi Square.
