60-year-old man critically injured in Ashkelon rocket strike

A 60-year-old man is critically injured after being hit by shrapnel from a rocket fired from Gaza, medics say.

Magen David Adom medics treated the man and transferred him to Barzilai Hospital and are searching the area for any further casualties.

Gaza terror groups are sporadically firing rockets at Ashdod, Ashkelon, Beersheba and communities in the south, as the IDF launches a major bombardment of northern Gaza.
