Bennett congratulates Herzog on new post as head of Jewish Agency; PM still silent
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleEducation Minister Naftali Bennett congratulates Isaac Herzog on his appointment to head the Jewish Agency.
“Bougie is talented, ethical and most importantly a mensch,” Bennett tweets, referring to the outgoing opposition chairman by his nickname.
The task that he — together with us — is facing is enormous: the preservation of Diaspora Jewry and their connection to the State of Israel.”
“Good luck!” he concludes.
Still to congratulate Herzog on the appointment is Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who lobbied for Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz to win the post.
