Bennett floats plan to test all students for COVID after Hanukkah
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleDuring the coronavirus cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett raises the possibility of requiring all students to take a rapid COVID test before returning to school after the Hanukkah holiday, according to Hebrew media reports.
But the head of public health services at the Health Ministry, Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis, says it may not be worth “the resources.”
“We didn’t discover many cases this way,” she says, after students were required to take the test before the start of the school year and after the fall holidays.
