All leaders of the coalition parties give their backing to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to establish an “emergency national government” during a meeting of the party heads.

An agreement for Benny Gantz’s National Unity party to join such a government has yet to be reached however, although it is expected to be reached shortly.

“Every head of the coalition parties, without exception, supported the establishment of an emergency national government and authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to act to create it,” says a spokesman for the Likud party.
