Condition of co-pilot injured in deadly helicopter crash said to improve
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe IAF co-pilot who was critically injured in the deadly helicopter crash on Monday, has reportedly regained conciseness, according to Channel 2 News.
The TV station says the unnamed pilot has woken up from a medically induced coma earlier today, and is moving his arms and legs.
The improvement in the pilot’s condition indicates the spinal cord injury he sustained is not irreversible as initially feared, it says.
On Monday night, an Apache attack helicopter crashed at the Ramon Air Base in the Negev desert during a training mission.
The pilot, an air force major in reserves, was killed. His co-pilot, a lieutenant, was rushed to Soroka unconscious and in critical condition.
