Day 32 of the Israel-Hamas conflict

Israel has agreed to extend it, as talks on a long-term arrangement continue in Cairo, but Hamas has not. If Israel does not agree to lift the Gaza blockade, the Hamas military wing said on Thursday afternoon, attacks on Israel will resume at 8. Later, other Hamas sources said they would resume fire if Israel did not agree to the opening of a seaport in Gaza.
Israel says it takes the Hamas threats seriously. It also says it will hit back with heavy force if attacks resume.
At a rally in Gaza City, with some 2,000 people present — not a huge number — a Hamas spokesman claimed Hamas still has tunnels that extend into Israel to carry out attacks. An Al-Jazeera reporter filmed from inside one such tunnel, although there was no proof that it still exists.
