Egypt said to put forward new proposal to end Gaza fighting

Egypt has reportedly put forward a new ceasefire proposal to end the days-long fighting between Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Al Jazeera quotes unidentified sources saying the proposal calls to stop killing civilians and bombing homes, adding Islamic Jihad agreed in principle while Israel has yet to respond.
