The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip rises to two as terrorists continue to fird dozens of rockets into Israel after renewed hostilities ruptured a fledgling three-day truce.
The Gazan fatalities are a 10-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man, with at least 20 others wounded, Hamas says.
Egypt, which is mediating between Israelis and Palestinians, insists negotiations are making progress, but Israel has recalled its delegation and warned it will not negotiate under fire.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to retaliate “forcefully,” with the IDF carrying out 35 airstrikes across Gaza today.
Meanwhile, Palestinian terrorists have fired 35 rockets into Israel, injuring one civilian and a soldier, the army says.
