Half-naked 5-year-old, apparently beaten, found walking Jerusalem streets
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA 5-year-old boy with signs of violence on his body was found this afternoon walking the streets of Jerusalem alone and half-naked, police say.
The child was found near the ultra-Orthodox Mea She’arim neighborhood by a social worker who called the police, the force says in a statement.
During the handling of the incident, an ultra-Orthodox crowd, which included the child’s father, surrounded the officers and attempted to prevent them from taking him away, the statement says. The father and two others were arrested.
Police say they purchased warm clothes for the child and contacted welfare authorities in the Jerusalem municipality.
