Hamas says Israel rejected demands overnight

The Palestinian delegation received an Egyptian memorandum of understanding last night showing that Israel had rejected its demands for a ceasefire, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri says, according to Channel 2.

The Egyptian document indicates that Israel has refused Hamas’s demands for a seaport, airport, expanded fishing rights, prisoner releases, and the easing of supplies entering Gaza from Israel.

The Palestinian delegation is still in Cairo, and will reportedly meet with Egyptian mediators soon.
