IDF says Hamas used Gaza hospital as HQ, after Doctors Without Borders pulls staff

After Doctors Without Borders said it had suspended nonessential medical activities at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza due to the presence of armed men at the medical facility, the Israeli military says it has intel proving Hamas used the site as a headquarters for senior operatives.
“For over two years, the IDF and the defense establishment has warned about the cynical use by terrorist organizations in Gaza of hospitals and humanitarian shelters as human shields to conceal terrorist activity,” the military says in an English-language statement.
The army says Doctors Without Borders’ move is “an important decision, but one that comes too late. This is further proof that reinforces the necessity for the disarmament of the Hamas terror organization.”
