IDF says it intercepted 2 objects near Eilat, but may have been false alarm

The Israel Defense Forces says interceptor missiles were fired at two “suspicious aerial targets” over the Red Sea near the southernmost city of Eilat a short while ago, in what may have been a false alarm.

“The possibility that this is a false identification is being investigated,” the IDF says.

There was no infiltration into Israeli airspace, and sirens were not activated in Eilat “according to protocol,” it adds.
