IDF strikes on Gaza said to be few and far between

Several Palestinian sources suggest that the IDF has conducted only limited and relatively few strikes on Gazan targets today, at least relative to previous rounds of fighting over the past month.

Israeli strikes also appear to be focused on rural areas in the Strip.

The strikes, which started at around 10:30 a.m. — after 2.5 hours of rocket fire from Gaza beginning at 8 a.m. — reportedly left one 10-year-old child dead and 11 others wounded.
