Iran claims to have arrested Israel-linked terrorist groups
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIranian security forces claim to have arrested what a state television report describes as terrorist groups linked to Israel in the southeastern city of Zahedan.
The report, without providing additional details, says the group entered through Iran’s eastern borders and carried US-made guns and explosives that the group had planned to use in assassinations and acts of sabotage.
Since the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June, Tehran has stepped up executions of people it has accused of working for or collaborating with the Mossad.
Tehran has also blamed “America and the Zionist regime” for the anti-government riots currently rocking Iran.
