Israeli WHO official says Omicron appears to cause less severe morbidity

An Israeli official at the World Health Organization says the UN health agency believes the Omicron variant causes less severe morbidity than other coronavirus strains.
“From the information we received from Britain, it appears that the current cycle of infections isn’t suffering from serious morbidity,” Dr. Dorit Nitzan tells Army Radio.
