Israir says prepping to expand flights amid ceasefire

After Arkia, Israeli carrier Israir says it is also gearing up to expand its flight operations amid expectations that current air traffic restrictions at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport will be eased following the overnight declaration of a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.

Israir is preparing to gradually increase flight frequencies and the number of passengers on departing aircraft, subject to the policy and guidelines by the Transportation Ministry and relevant aviation authorities.

Over the coming weeks, Israir expects to operate flights to a variety of destinations, including Athens, Larnaca, Budapest, Tbilisi, Batumi, Rome, Berlin and Rhodes.
