Man killed in Lod, in third deadly shooting in Arab community overnight

A man in his 30s was shot dead in Lod this morning, marking the third fatal shooting to rock the Arab community within a single night.

The victim is a resident of the central city named Suleiman Abu Ghanem, Ynet reports. He was found by medics lying unconscious on the street at around 6:30 a.m., and soon pronounced dead, Magen David Adom says.

Police opened an investigation into the shooting and have not yet arrested any suspects.

Two other Arab Israelis were killed overnight in fatal shootings, including one woman in Ararat an-Naqab and a man in Jaffa. In the former case, police later arrested four relatives of the murdered woman for interrogation, saying her death was connected to a family dispute.
