Manufacturers Association opens situation room to help factories under fire

The Manufacturers Association of Israel opens a situation room near Beersheba.

The center is designed to make sure workers and shipments can reach factories in the south despite road closures and expected rocket fire.

In recent operations, roadblocks caused significant economic damage to Israel when factories could not operate.

There is an additional risk of having Israeli factories near Gaza being seen as unreliable to partners outside of Israel if they are forced to shut down.

The situation room also helps factories respond in case of a rocket strike
