Over 150 rockets fired at Israel Monday — army

Fresh rocket sirens sound in Gaza border region as the Israel Defense Forces says upwards of 150 rockets and mortar shells have been fired by terrorists in the Gaza Strip at Israel on Monday.

Dozens of these were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, according to the military.

Most of the rest landed in open fields, where they caused neither injury nor damage. A small number landed inside populated areas, causing minor damage to nearby buildings and infrastructure.

So far only one person has been directly injured by the projectiles, an Israeli civilian man whose car was struck by an anti-tank guided missile south of Sderot.
