PA: 4 West Bank Palestinians diagnosed with Omicron

Four West Bank Palestinians have been determined so far to have the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry says.
PA Health Ministry spokesperson Kamal al-Shakhra says that all those infected with the fast-spreading mutation are in stable condition and are isolating at their homes.
The Palestinian Authority has yet to announce any new restrictions on gatherings in the light of the new variant. But Israel’s travel ban on incoming tourists also applies to the West Bank, as Israeli authorities control all the border crossings that lead to PA areas.
At a cabinet meeting in Ramallah, PA premier Mohammad Shtayyeh calls on Palestinians to get vaccinated, including with a third booster shot for those who have already received two.
