Palestinian official: Hamas refuses Egyptian ceasefire

The head of the Palestinian delegation to Cairo, Azzam al-Ahmad, tells The Times of Israel that there is no agreement to continue the truce for another three days, or for less time.

Al-Ahmad says in a phone conversation from Cairo that Egypt has offered both sides another three-day truce, but that Hamas refused.

He adds that the Palestinian delegation, including Hamas officials, will remain in Cairo and will decide in the coming day whether to continue the negotiations.

Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas’s spokesperson in Gaza, says there’s no agreement over a ceasefire, but that negotiations will continue.
